Diana Karenne was an actress, film director, screenwriter, film producer, film critic, painter and poet. She stunned the early Italian cinema, becoming one of Italy's major divas. The movies with her are almost not preserved, and the biography of the actress is full of "white spots". But in the archives of Gosfilmofond were found films with her participation and it is a real surprise. For example, the discovered "The Tragedy of the Two Sisters" (1913) indicates that the actress, in fact, was russian and her debut was made in the Russian Empire.
